Send legal emailDeleting your YouTube account is easy. Login to your account from a computer browser and navigate to the delete link. First, you must delete your YouTube channel before you delete your entire account. You cannot delete your account from within the mobile app. Follow the steps below.

Step #1: Click here to open YouTube. If you're already logged in, doing so will open your YouTube homepage. Then click the *profile icon *on top right.
Step #2: Click settings from the drop down menu
Step #3: Click advanced settings
Step #4: Scroll down and click delete channel
Step #5: Verify password and click next
Step #6: Click I want to permanently delete my account
Step #7: Click delete my content
Step #8: Verify email and click delete my content

If your username is your identity on YouTube, remember that deleting your account means the end of that identity. Closing your YouTube account means that all the unique qualities of your account will no longer be available to you. Specifically, comments that you made on YouTube, your replies and thumbs-up on comments, your messages and your search and watch history will be deleted.
